IPhilosophy

A coffin is the last object made for you. We think it should be chosen, not assigned.

Most coffins are sold at the worst possible moment, by people who would rather you not look closely. The wood is thin, the lining synthetic, the silhouette a default. There is no time to consider.

Before You Go was made for the years before the moment. Pieces selected calmly, paid for in instalments, kept in our climate-controlled vault until they are needed. A small administrative grace, returned to a private decision.

We are not morbid. We are punctual.

A featured piece

The Quiet

An unadorned vessel in pale Carrara marble.

The Quiet is our founding piece — six panels of slow-quarried Carrara marble, mitred at the corners and polished by hand to a soft, low sheen that catches light without returning it.
